Last year Janée took home the gold in Smart Car's and Deviant Art's Smartly Skinned design contest. "DeviantArt staff had the tough job of narrowing down the entries to 25 semifinalists, and judges from Smart chose the top three designs based on originality, visual impact, and technical skill. Los Angeles graphic artist Janée Meadows claimed the first place prize for her Smart Car "Doodling" design."

Cut & Paste is a digital design competition for the battle of the best, champions vs. champions. Out of 16 cities and 256 competitors from North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific regions, Janée Meadows took home the Global Championship 2D prize; as well as the first place 2D title in Los Angeles. >>

After parting ways with Atlantic Records in 2006, the sisters set out to do it for themselves with the release of their next album, the accurately titled Bitchin'. The record returns the group to its garage roots, and is one of their best in years, but we're here to talk about the cover, which was created by artist Janée Meadows. Taking inspiration from classic 80s metal slabs from Girlschool and Whitesnake, the cover features a hot ass in a pair of tight leather pants - the perfect symbol for these rockin' chicks. >>

Janée Meadows is an award-winning freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Los Angeles, California.
It's hard to peg her style, as it runs the gamut of photorealism to retro cartoons. Like the mockingbird, known for mimicking the songs and sounds of the animal kingdom; Meadows is known for her ability to authentically mimic various illustrative styles of the art world.
But whatever her style may be, let's just say it's rockin'. Her glossy 80's airbrush coverart for The Donna's 2008 release Bitchin' was declared the #42 Best Album Cover of All Time by UGO Entertainment.

Most recently, her retro-inspired movie poster for 'Cowboys and Aliens' caught the attention of both the film's director Jon Favreau and screenplay writer Damon Lindelof on Twitter; prompting the 'New York Post' to the feature the art on the cover of their entertainment section.
